There are 29 \nletters in the Norwegian alphabet. This alphabet is often called the \nDanish-Norwegian alphabet because the two alphabets are almost the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The letter \u00c5 has been used in the Norwegian alphabet since 1917 as a \nreplacement for Aa. The final decision on the location of \u00c5 was not \ntaken before 1955. It was first suggested that the letter should come \nfirst in the alphabet, but this was not the case.
