NORINT - NORWEGIAN INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGE SCHOOL REGULATIONS

Individual lessons:

  • after completing the first lesson, please inform us about the decision to continue learning and the chosen form of payment
  • invoices for lessons are sent in an electronic version to an e-mail with a 7-day payment deadline, the student undertaking studies at our school undertakes to pay fees for lessons on time – based on the invoices received
  • lessons canceled min. 24h in advance, will be implemented at a different date, agreed by the student directly with their teacher
  • lessons canceled later than 24 hours in advance are treated as “canceled – paid” lessons
  • lessons in which the student was absent and was not canceled by him/her are treated as “not canceled – paid” lessons
  • if the student misses the lesson, they should contact their teacher as soon as possible to confirm their continued participation in the course and the date of the next lesson
  • the student has the right to access the educational platform and the educational materials available on it, as well as to the digital textbook during the study period (in the event of a planned break in study, the student has the right to access the educational platform, but not the digital textbook)
  • after graduation, a student who completed at our school min. 50 lessons have the right to access the educational platform and the educational materials placed on it for a period of 12 months, and in the case of fewer than 50 lessons, for a period of 6 months
  • each student undertaking education at our school is obliged to familiarize themself with the technical requirements necessary for the proper functioning of the educational platform and to obtain headphones
  • before the first lesson, each student receives an e-mail instruction to log in to their account on the educational platform and are obliged to read this instruction and log in before the lesson, and in case of any problems, contact the school office for help
  • the basic tool for communication during the lesson is Skype, so students are asked to install/update this program before starting learning and timely send their username to the school’s office for transmission to the teacher, who then sends an invitation to the “group/student” on Skype, and the course participant must confirm it so that the teacher can contact him at the appointed time
  • online course participants who have any difficulties using the learning platform, virtual classroom, or accessing a digital textbook must contact us as soon as possible so that any problems can be resolved by our staff
  • we expect our students to be punctual and to respect teachers and school staff who make every effort to ensure that the services we provide are at a high level
  • if you have any questions, doubts or dissatisfaction with our services, please contact the school office immediately in order to clarify these issues
  • in case of dissatisfaction with the lessons with a given teacher, it is possible to change the teacher, after informing the school office and subject to the availability of other teachers
  • if the lesson does not take place for reasons beyond the student’s control, the Norint school undertakes to complete it on a different date, selected by the student in consultation with the teacher.

Lessons for 2 people and group courses:

  • registration for the course is binding, the participant may resign from the course up to 7 days before the course starts; then the fee for canceling the course is 50 euros, resignation from the course less than 7 days before its start date is associated with a fee of 40% of the entire course price
  • in case of resignation from participation in the course and not informing us about it, we will not provide a refund for the course

  • if the course does not start due to the lack of the minimum required number of participants or for any other reason beyond the student’s control, Norint undertakes to refund the course fee in full, or we may propose joining a similar course, provided that this solution is satisfactory for the student
  • before starting the course, the participant should make sure that his computer/laptop and their internet meet the minimum standards required to participate in the course, if he is not sure, he can book a free trial meeting or buy one lesson before purchasing the entire course to verify suitability your hardware
  • the student should participate in at least 75% of the group lessons of his course, the absence of any of the course participants during the lesson slows down the learning process of the whole group because the teacher has to repeat the material, if the student is not present, he should read the material before the next group class
  • if a student misses a lesson, they should contact their teacher as soon as possible to confirm their continued attendance and the date of the next lesson.
  • participants of online group courses should not have cell phones near their computers during the lesson due to interference that may be caused by them, all sounds are transmitted via the Internet to other people present in the virtual class
  • all participants in a group course are required to take a language proficiency test prior to the first lesson of their course, and in some cases, the teacher may also interview the student to ensure optimal grouping, both test and interview are included in the course fee
  • all online course participants must be present at the first class of their course or give us a written notice explaining the reason for their absence, we can offer students who are absent from the first lesson for a valid reason an additional lesson, people who do not notify us of their absence from the first class, will be removed from the list of course participants and will no longer be able to use our school’s offer
